Pilots compete to take off and land in the shortest combined distance — judged head-to-head, scored in feet. Part airshow, part motorsports, and 100% American aviation: it’s the most precise sport in the sky, and it’s happening right outside Nashville for two days in October.

We’re building the 2026 midway now — and we’re looking for food trucks and local vendors to serve the crowd on both days, Friday and Saturday. Last year’s competition drew 1,300+ aviation fans, and spots are limited.

- Expect event NOTAMs — the airfield operates under restrictions during competition windows (Fri practice 11–3, Sat competition ~9–5). Check NOTAMs before every leg.
- Competitors: arrivals run Thursday, Oct 8 — check in at the field 3:00–5:00 PM. Arrival procedures and aircraft parking come from National STOL as the event approaches.
